Youth Arts Alliance (YAA) provides healing centered arts workshops encouraging creative expression, connection and growth. YAA Teaching Artists are passionate and skilled in a variety of artistic mediums. Workshop offerings welcome youth of all experience levels!

Workshops will meet daily for 2 and a half hours for 4 consecutive days at the Washtenaw Alliance for Virtual Education, located at 301 W Michigan Ave, Suite 200, Ypsilanti, MI 48197.

Program Dates: November 14 - November 17

Time: 12 - 2:30pm

Location: WAVE, located at 301 W Michigan Ave, Suite 200, Ypsilanti, MI 48197

Description: In this ceramics workshop, YAA Teaching Artist Anna Schwartz will be sharing hand building, clay and glazing techniques for small projects. Think little dishes, plates, cups, and figurines. No experience necessary, a wonderful introduction to ceramic fun!
- Tuesday: Clay exploration & building
- Wednesday: Wrap up clay exploration & building
  - Pieces will be taken to be fired at the end of this workshop.
- Thursday: Glazing fired pieces
- Friday: Final day for glazing & celebration of work!
  - Pieces will be taken to be fired at the end of this workshop.
  - Finished pieces will be available to pick up at WAVE.
Lunch and beverages will be provided for everyone. All supplies & materials are provided.
